The Ultimate 50/50 Photographic Challenge & Exhibit

Photography Contest and Exhibit for 2019/2020!

Starting February 1, 2019, we will begin accepting entries for the monthly contest and annual exhibit.

Each month we will select 3 winners from that month's entries**.

Most Months will be “OPEN” and some months will be “THEMED”

AUGUST 2019 will be a "THEMED MONTH, the Theme is "ANIMALS"

Only $10.00 per entry.

All monthly contest entries and payments must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST/DST ON OR BEFORE the last day of the month. Winners will be chosen and announce on our Facebook page by the 5th of the following month. LIKE images on the Facebook page to help in breaking any ties! The First Place winner will receive instructions on how to obtain their SHINY PRINTS metal print. Winning prize money will be mailed by the 10th of the month.

First Place will also receive a 20”x 24” or 20” x 30” metal print sponsored by Shiny Prints Metal for exhibit in the gallery for the following month and also to be a part of the annual Ultimate 50/50 Photographic Challenge exhibit.

15% Second Place

10% Third Place

Steven Bart Stregevsky

Steve was born in Chicago in 1955.

Childhood in Jim Crow New Orleans.

The family moved to Cleveland, under stark personal protest. I was indentured in 1970 to Hastings-Willinger & Associates commercial photographers. One might consider this an apprenticeship. I was lucky to learn the basics of Peter and Al. Attended Cleveland Heights high school class of 1974, Distributive Education. Painter, Larry Krauss, Art teacher, Cleveland Institute of Art and Mentor.

Scholastic Arts Awards, Cane Park Art Gallery, CIA May Show. Merrill David Color Lab Tec, American Greetings Corporation, Kent State, Case Western Reserve University, The 80’s, Cleveland Jewish News, Steven B Photo, JCF, Community photographer, Gallery of Hope resident artist-provocateur.

Presently under what might be called house arrest with a Piezography printer, a computer and a lifetime of images.

The practice of the fine print. Major influences Nick Hobeyze and his friend, Minor White, Zone System, Fred Picker, J. Scott Kelly, Light and shadow.
